In September, many events occurred such as Koinonia camp and volleyball games. However, we should also remember fashion week. Fashion week was a fun event where many students and teachers participated. The topics were Teachers like Students & Students like Teachers, Character Day, Formal Fashion Day, Pajama Day, and Freaky Friday. Below are the interviews of Junho Lee (11th grade), winner of Character Day, and Ms. S Kim (Chemistry teacher), winner of pajama day.
Interview with Junho Lee
Q: What concepts do you want for the future fashion week events?
Lee: I want a day that students can show themselves the most, one that shows their identities the most. Fashion is a method to express myself so it would be good when there is a day to express who I am.
Q: Whose costume was the most interesting for you?
Lee: In my opinion, the members of SBC were the most interesting. Although other students wore very interesting costumes, SBC members [participated] every day for the fashion week, becoming the best examples. Due to SBC’s effort, it was very interesting.
Interview with Ms.Kim
Q: What concept do you want for the future fashion week events?
Ms. S. Kim: I think it would be fun if we have decades day such as wearing different decades (’80s, ’90s) clothes.
Q: Whose costume was the most interesting for you?
Ms. S. Kim: I think junior’s inside out was pretty cute. It was good to see many students group together and celebrate the fashion week.
Q: Could you please tell your thoughts for your victory in the fashion week?
Ms. S. Kim: I did not know I was going to win so I was genuinely surprised at first. I think it was really nice of SBC to acknowledge teachers in this way especially considering how many teachers participated actively throughout the week. I still don’t know how and why I won because there were many teachers and students who displayed outstanding creativity and style, far exceeding my own. Nonetheless, I am both honored and grateful to receive this award and cute gift. Events like this serve as a wonderful opportunity to create a sense of community within the school, allowing both teachers and students to engage and enjoy themselves together. I sincerely hope that we can continue to have more enjoyable and collaborative events like this in the future, where teachers and students can have fun together.
