Q: What was the most memorable moment your team gained throughout the Gwangju tournament?

Yuju Shin: I think the most memorable moment was when our girl’s team won 2nd place in the tournament. We used to finish in last place in the tournament, but this time we all were so happy about the fact that we weren’t in last place.

Ye Hun Yu: Through the Gwangju tournament, I felt that our team became closer and more united. With each game we played, I also felt we were starting to work together better and better.

You hide behind the storage unit and the staff worker doesn’t see you and just walks straight past. You feel relieved and decide not to stay here any longer. You leave and head back up to your suite, feeling a little ashamed. Your journey continues on the cruise ship. Eventually after one week the ship arrives back home to Miami and you leave the cruise ship, happy for the memories that you created during your journey. The End. (You got the good ending!)

Q: What did you gain from the volleyball team experience throughout the Gwangju tournament?

Seungmi Choi (manager): I felt very proud watching how our team members supported and cared for each other. Even when we lost a match, they still cheered each other up and said encouraging words like “You did great and you did your best.” I could really see how much they valued and loved their teammates. It made me realize how strong our team bond was, and I thought it was amazing how encouragement helped build trust and unity among the team.

Jihui Kim (manager): I felt pride seeing the players always showing their best. I was grateful for all the effort they put into the game, even in challenging situations and unfamiliar environments. Seeing the players work hard for the game equivalent to the team and do their best inspired me. I truly admired the players’ passion for enjoying the game, not obsessed with the result.
