On February 28, 2026, Cornerstone athletes attended the KISAA post season basketball tournament. Every player played hard for the team. The first game was against SPAS. It was a hard fight, and unfortunately we lost. The second game was against BIS, and we had a big win against BIS. Justin Kim (11) played a crucial role for the win scoring 25 points out of 30. Unfortunately, the boys team couldn’t go to the finals because they lost the first game, but they still cheered for the girls’ game. The girls played against SPPS and the score ended up with 18 to 9.
Justin Kim (captain, power forward)
Q: How do you feel about getting the MVP award for the team?
A: I was grateful after getting the MVP award because every player in my team was trying as much as I was. I believe that this MVP is not only for me but also for my team.
Q: Which aspect should the team improve on?
A: Overall every player has participated in practice with such a hard effort.
Damin Lee (co-captain, point guard)
Q: How was the post season tournament and which skill or aspect do you think the team can improve more next year?
A: The post season tournament was fun because this was my first year on basketball varsity. Our team wasn’t in a good condition, so we missed a lot of shots and our defense was also rocky. I think we have to train more in basic stamina, defense drills, and shooting drills. In the end, I’m still thankful no one got hurt, and especially captain Justin.

Q: What was something that you liked the most in this season?
A: The SKAC was the best memory for this season. We weren’t able to make good outcomes but we improved a lot compared to the previous season, and everyone got closer to the Jeonju tournament.
Q: What can the girl’s varsity improve next year
A: We can improve more on our stamina, rebounding, shooting and dribbling. A lot of seniors are leaving but I’m excited for the upcoming freshmens!
