On April 10, 2026, the students were very excited for this year’s Sports Day. Many teachers and students, especially for the council and the representative, dedicated themselves to preparing for the games. However, an unexpected problem happened. It started raining heavily the day before, and the rain didn’t stop until the next morning of Sports Day. Because of the rainy weather, the school had to cancel Sports Day. Due to the cancellation of the event, students didn’t know what to do and even teachers were also confused. Everyone felt a little bit sad because they couldn’t participate in the Sports Day that many students and teachers prepared for. SBC members had prepared Chicken Gangjeong and lunch boxes for all the students, and now those foods had nowhere to go. But suddenly, after a meeting, the teachers made an announcement that shocked everyone. For the first time in our school, they decided to take us to Lotte World instead!
The morning started quite disorganized due to the sudden change of plans. All students began talking about the school’s decision to take them to Lotte World instead, showing their unconcealable excitement. However, the teachers decided to make students wear the Sports Day uniform when they stay at Lotte World for efficient and safe management. This news aroused disappointment in some students, but the others seemed to enjoy the fact that those colorful Mottongees are going to fill the whole Lotte World.
Students spent the day making unforgettable memories with their friends in the amusement park. When they arrived, they forgot all about the rain. All students and even teachers enjoyed the day. One unforgettable experience I had was gazing down at the second floor with my friends just to spot those vivid red, green, pink, and orange uniforms. It was almost like treasure hunting, and we had so much fun guessing the names of the people with Sports Day uniforms.
For the lunch boxes that SBC prepared, those foods were distributed to students by teachers. Furthermore, the school bought a meal ticket for everyone, and the students could use the ticket for specific places in Lotte World either for lunch or dinner. Thinking back, the school coped with the unexpected changes in plans quickly and well, considering the fact that lunch is an important issue to students. Although Sports Day and the mini games that the school prepared would have been exciting, this sudden shift in plans was also truly meaningful. We enjoyed rides together, and occasional meeting with teachers was also a fun part.
Overall, it was an amazing day that no one could have imagined. Also, this experience showed us that even when things don’t go as planned, we can find an even better way to enjoy ourselves. It was a great experience that the students and teachers will never forget.

1. How did you feel when you heard that Sports day changed to Lotte World?
I was a bit disappointed because I was really excited for Sports Day. However, after I heard we were going to Lotte World instead, I was more excited. It was even more fun because of the unfortunate event.
2. What was the most exciting part at Lotte World?
The most exciting part was riding the Rollercoaster. It was so thrilling and scary but it was really fun. Also, just being with my friends was the best part of the day. We talked a lot and I became more close with many friends.
3. Who did you have the most fun with, and what did you eat there?
I had the most fun with my friends. I think it was an even more meaningful day because it was an opportunity to become closer with a friend I wasn’t really close with. For lunch, we ate lunch boxes provided by the school and we also bought snacks outside!

1. How did you feel when you heard that Sports Day changed to Lotte World?
I was so surprised. I love Sports Day, but going to Lotte World felt like a special day for me.
2. Between Sports Day and Lotte World, which one do you prefer more?
I prefer Lotte World. I think it’s a better way to relieve stress than Sports Day because we can enjoy many different activities.
3. What was the happiest moment on the day?
The happiest moment was riding the Atlantis. I’m not good at riding them, but I tried it this time and finally enjoyed it so much. Also, even though the lines were very long, the time went so fast because I was busy talking with my friends.
