It was a big game for both teams, Cornerstone Collegiate Academy of Seoul (CCAS) and FAYSTON Preparatory (Fayston). The players were nervous but also excited for the game. Many students from CCAS came and cheered for their team. The first game was the girls’ varsity team and the next game was the boys’ varsity team. Before the game started, the players all gathered together and cheered for one another. There were some new players who joined the varsity team, and it was their first time playing a real basketball game. Many were anxious, but also excited. While playing the game, some of the players got injured. Even though they were injured, they didn’t give up and kept on cheering for the players. The game ended, and although the girls had lost the game, they cheered for each other. After the girls’ game, the boys’ game started. The boys’ game was exciting and the atmosphere of the stadium was much more serious than the girls. The boys were very close to winning the game, so when they lost, many students from CCAS were sad and felt bad. However, it was still a nice game.

“There were lots of people from our school who came to watch the game, and during the girls game, the players from Fayston were very good and they scored a lot. The boys were so close to winning. All the players did a great job and I was proud of them.” – Anthony 9th grade

“I joined the varsity team two days before the game, and it was my first time playing in a real basketball game. I was so concerned about the game, and since it was my first time playing in a game, I didn’t know the rules clearly so I made some mistakes, but my friends cheered me on and my coach gave me some advice that really helped. Even though we lost, I think this game became a great experience for my improvement.” – Ashley 10th grade
