Hello Cornerstone! We are now almost halfway through volleyball season. And good news, on the day of the game against CMIS, the boys volleyball team were able to gain their first victory! I got a chance to interview some of the players to share their emotions and opinions. Yoonjae Park and Yehun Yoo from the boys volleyball team, gladly agreed to share their opinion about the game.
“What is your opinion on your game that day? How do you feel about your win?”
Yehun Yoo: Our teamwork was really good during the game day against CMIS, and I felt that we were cooperating well with each other. I also liked the enthusiastic atmosphere of the game.
Yoonjae Park: As one of three returning players from last year, I desired better results. But at the beginning of the season, it was not looking good. However, after this victory, I felt like the morale of the whole team increased in a dramatic manner.
The girls’ volleyball team were also able to gain their first victory after playing against KENT. I interviewed one player and one manager from the team to share their excitement and opinions about the game. One of the girls volleyball players Ailey Oh and girls’ volleyball manager Jimin Sung thankfully cooperated with me to share their opinion about the atmosphere during game day.
“What is your opinion on your game that day? How do you feel about your win?”
Sung: During the game, the atmosphere was energetic and tense. At first the players seemed nervous, but after the first set they gained their confidence! After the second set, the tension seemed to get a little lost, but our players managed to pull it back up and won the game 3:0.
Oh: During the game, I got to know the importance of teamwork and trust between teammates. If we didn’t communicate and work together well during the game, I think it would have been a tough game.
