Chuseok Break Interview

In the course of the long Fall semester, one of the most awaited holidays for students would be the Chuseok break. Especially this year, we had an exceptionally long Chuseok break with a total of 10 days due to consecutive holidays with Hangul Day and National Foundation Day (개천절). With the extended break, many students enjoyed their time visiting various places across the world. So in this article, we will take a glimpse of some of the adventures our students took during Chuseok.

Gayoung Nam (G11)

Q: Where did you go during Chuseok break?
Nam: I went to Bali, Indonesia for a week during Chuseok break.

Q:What did you do during the Chuseok break?
Nam: I went to the ocean and did some diving and surfing.

Q: What was your best memory from the Chuseok break?
Nam: My best memory was when I made a new friend while surfing.

Q: What is your favorite Chuseok food?
Nam: My favorite Chuseok food was the steak I had in Bali.

Chloe Kim (11)

Q: Where did you go during Chuseok break?
Kim: During Chuseok break, I went to Paris for nine days

Q:What did you do during the Chuseok break?
Kim: I went to Disneyland, the Louvre Museum, and the Eiffel Tower. I also had fun watching a soccer game.

Q: What was your best memory from the Chuseok break?
Kim: My best memory was when I went to Disneyland and rode many rides.

Q: What is your favorite Chuseok food?
Kim: I really liked the baguette I had in Paris.

 

Seeun Ju (G10)

Q:Where did you go during the Chuseok break?
Ju: I went to Jeju Island with my family for Chuseok. We stayed there for five days.

Q:What did you do during the Chuseok break?
Ju: I hiked Hallasan with my family, and I swam in the hotel pool with my cousins.

Q:What was your best memory from the Chuseok break?
Ju: My best memory was receiving pocket money from my uncle and parents.

Q:What is your favorite Chuseok food?
Ju: My favorite Chuseok food is steamed galbi made by my grandmother.

Audrey Seo (G10)

Q:Where did you go during the Chuseok break?
Seo: I went to Daecheon, my grandmother’s hometown, for the first time and stayed home all week.

Q:What did you do during the Chuseok break?
Seo: I spent time with my family and usually watched dramas.

Q:What was your best memory from the Chuseok break?
Seo: Every moment was special and full of happiness, but the time I went to Daecheon for the first time and spent time with my family and cousins was the best moment of my Chuseok break.

Q:What is your favorite Chuseok food?
Seo: I can’t choose one, but if I have to, I will pick steamed galbi!
