The Cornerstone varsity volleyball teams traveled to Fayston Preparatory School on the 31st of August, 2024, in order to take part in the pre-season volleyball competition that was held at Fayston. A total of six teams participated in the competition: the CCAS, FPS, SPPS, ICSU, SSI, and BIS. Two matches were provided to each male and female team so that they may compete against their rivals. Unlike previous matches, which originally included the third set, each game consisted of only two sets, which was a breakage of tournament conventions.

In spite of the fact that their match was supposed to take place first, the CCAS female team showcased a strong sense of enthusiasm from the very beginning of the competition. Not only would the CCAS female team be able to overcome the pressure of playing the first match even though other teams were watching them play, but they would also be able to overcome the physical tension that they gained from the lengthy bus ride. The spirit and teamwork that the CCAS female team displayed in the first match did, indeed, enhance the morale of the male team, which was a significant addition to the overall tournament.

Similarly to the female team having made significant progress this season, the male team was also able to prove its explosive potential. This was made possible by the remarkable development of the roster. Despite the fact that the journey in Suji was more than enough to both physically and mentally exhaust the players in advance, the CCAS players were able to successfully complete their matches with BIS, SPPS, and FPS. In the midst of the majority of both female and male players who were new to their first high school varsity matches, numerous prospects of the CCAS athletics stood out. The outcomes of the pre-season tournament did not manage to become a source of pride for the majority of the CCAS volleyball players prior to the start of the regular season; however, the players noted that the pre-season tournament was one of the most beneficial experiences they had the opportunity to go through before the regular season began
